Sprouts Farmers Market - Bad pastry purchase
In Feb/2016, I purchased a Sprouts cherry pie at the San Pedro, Ca. store.
When we cut into it and began to eat it, I had a chewy piece of wirery string in my mouth and began to choke on it. I spit it out and couldn't determine exactly what it was. I returned the pie back to the store and the female manager took a report and said that I would be contacted from the head office.
I've never heard from them with an explanation or an apology. (by the way, I took the string into the store along with the leftover pie) I will never buy from their bakery again and am surprised at their "don't care" attitude.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Monetary Loss: $5.
Preferred solution: an explanation and apology maybe a gift certificate for vegetables.
Sprouts Farmers Market Cons: Product and customer service, Bad pastry and customer service.
Location: Palos Verdes Peninsula, California

No bakery item is made at Sprouts. Everything comes already cooked or as a batter (the muffins) that they just pop in the oven.
Finding a wire in your food is a complaint for the manufacturer of the product. God knows who makes this stuff. I realize how upsetting This is, as it could have been life threatening. That's definitely not okay and I'm glad nothin serious happened to you :) but it is NOT the fault of the Sprouts employee(s) you dealt with.
We make minimum wage or barely over it. These things are so far out of our control, or even the control of our managers. If you want results and proper apologies/explanations, take it to corporate, or whoever actually made that pie and is at fault. You were not victimized by the person behind the Sprouts register.
I agree they should have at least given you a gift card though. cheers!
